Keith Dinwoodie came to Canada from England almost forty years ago –
to escape having to endure another “winter of our discontent”!
He was born in Liverpool, England and grew up during a time of significant
change in Liverpool and Great Britain. It was the time of the Beatles
and the Mersey Sound, of social changes and technological changes, all
of which had an impact on Keith in one form or another.
His technical background spans Computer and Telecommunications systems
and Education and his experience has included assignments in Europe, North
America and Asia Pacific.
His academic and professional background includes:
• Received a B.Sc. (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering
from the University of Manchester, England.
• Received a Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunications Technology
from the University of Aston in Birmingham, England.
• Senior Engineer for Plessey Telecommunications Limited in Liverpool
and Maidenhead, England.
• Territory manager for Burroughs Machines in Manchester, England.
• Engineer for Alberta Government Telephones in Edmonton, Alberta.
• Instructor for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in
Edmonton.
• District Sales Manager for Digital Equipment of Canada Limited
in Edmonton, Regina and Winnipeg.
• Regional Manager for Brant Computer Services Limited, Vancouver.
• Branch Manager for Ascom Timeplex Canada Inc., Vancouver.
• Vice President of Skywalker Management, Inc., Vancouver.
• President and Director of Orion 2000 Technologies Ltd., Vancouver.
• Regional Manager for Synchrotel Communications Ltd., Vancouver.
Since 1997, he has provided support services for information technology to small businesses and individuals, primarily in the South Delta area of the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Support for computers, networks, websites and associated equipment and services.
